The Facilitation Process

Building, and Building Upon, Our Trusted Relationship

  • Initial consultation - Confidential talk about what you want to improve in your life and how we can best work together
  • Confidential Intake Questionnaire - Questions to help you explore your path to a better you, and to help me to get to know you better
  • Preparation Sessions (minimum of 2, 1-hr. sessions) - One-on-one conversations to explore formative or other contributing experiences
  • Administration session (daylong journey in a licensed Healing Center) - Supporting your comfort and safety every step of the way
  • Integration sessions (minimum of 2, 1-hr. sessions) - Post-journey one-on-one conversations to debrief and discover what changes and lessons you want to take forward in your life
  • Integration sessions can be added as needed

4. Creating a Supportive Environment
  • We’ll guide you in preparing a comfortable, safe setting for your journey.

5. Physical Preparation & Wellness
  • We’ll provide guidance on nutrition, sleep, and self-care in the days leading up to your journey.
  • You’ll be encouraged to engage in light movement, meditation, or journaling to promote a sense of balance.

A skilled facilitator serves as a guardian of the space, allowing your unique psilocybin experience to unfold in its own profound and meaningful way.

The Responsibilities of a Facilitator

1. Establishing Safety & Trust
  • Before the journey begins, we build rapport together, ensuring that you feel safe and supported.
  • Facilitator responsibilities are clearly defined, and include non-interference, emotional support, and a grounding presence.
  • Ensuring that the physical setting where the journey will take place (a licensed Healing Center) is optimized for comfort, tranquility, and emotional security.
2. Providing a Non-Judgmental, Grounded Presence
  • The Facilitator remains calm, centered, and emotionally neutral, allowing the journeyer to explore their experience without external influence.
  • A high-quality Facilitator does not guide or impose meaning on the journey but trusts the process and the inner wisdom of the journeyer.
3. Providing Gentle Emotional Support
  • If difficult emotions arise, the Facilitator meets you where you are and encourages curiosity rather than resistance.
  • Simple grounding techniques (like offering a reassuring touch on the shoulder, guiding deep breaths, or providing a comforting object) can help navigate intense moments.
  • During difficult moments, the Facilitator reminds the journeyer that “you are safe, this will pass, and you are not alone.”
4. Respecting the Journey’s Flow
  • Your experiences may be deeply internal, requiring silence and solitude, while others may involve verbal processing, movement, or expression.
  • The Facilitator adapts to the journeyer’s needs without trying to control or alter the experience.

  • As the effects of the psilocybin subside, the Facilitator helps the journeyer slowly return to baseline, offering water, light nourishment, or comforting words.
